Sorry so late, but I had to run to Calgary this morning(yes Calgary does suck). I could have done this last night but I was busy learning. That's right. Learning. No Donna was not teaching me how to heel or anything complicated like that, I was working on the computer learning how to run Final Cut Pro. It is an editing program for video. Killer program. Anyway, I spent most of the day yesterday working on that. SOOOOOOO, lets take care of the mail....Wait first off let me get the birthdays out of the way...
Chadwick Weiser, Feb. 21st
Angie Weiser, Feb.23rd
Johnny H, Feb 21, 74
Happy belated birthday. Here is a pic of Johnny H and the Cup...
Now with the mail....
Marty responded to the curling topic...
Chris
That's quality stuff right there... If you need to, I can lend you my broom and sliders... But I don't think my team wool jacket would fit you...
I actually found some people out here who know how to curl and we got to use some of the ice at the local rink.. It's a very nice place, but there was no bar and everyone kept interrupting us asking what the hell we were doing... It's just not the same.
Marty
Thanks marty but I think I will stick to the beer part of curling. James Grandy, a Canadian gave me the business...
Mr. Peterson,
i love the love dude....its like youve turned into me. dont fight being a canuck, go with it. curling rocks!! ( although i never did it...that was hockey season) just a side note...my hometown of 168 people had that silver broom champion skip for women in 1981 (world champs...like it matters)
another side note from a past "love" theo fleury was born in my home town also.
i watched the greatest game of all time on tues(1989 Grey Cup Sask vs Hamilton)...from dvd. ya know the only thing that sucked about that in hindsight is that he could have just kicked it thru the endzone and won (lame rule)
and you have to admit that you love hating the vikes and you dont hate them AS much anymore...too bad...nothing better than a hate rivalry. ( told you my barber was a good source)
James
Grandy I will be discussing the Moss thing later and last but not least.....Ivy sent me a letter last week....
Hey man:
Thanks for the immortalizations in last week's blog. I hoped the funyuns would be safe, but evidently they got a little reduced in the treck across the border.
Maybe we ought to consider reconvening close to Calgary next March with the wives and kids? They can stay out at some ski resort and us bruthas can go into town and style and profile. Wooooooooooooooooooooo! (nice thought)
I've got a Moss jersey for sale too. What a blockbuster of a deal.
Happy weekend
Steve
Speaking of Randy....Here is a nice pic of him...
I did not mention the Randy Moss trade last week because I did not want to jinx it. My intuition worked. Bye bye you jerk. How's that taste. Traded for a linebacker. Nice. This trade is almost as good as the Hershel Walker trade. I remember that the Super Bowl was guaranteed after that trade. How many did they get? He is almost assured to NEVER win a Super Bowl with Oakland. For all those viking(I never capitalize it because it does not deserve it) fans out there, there is a sale on jerseys at the Mall of America. All number 84, and a bad shade of purple. Grown men wearing purple. Ha.
I will admit I am just glad that the Pack don't have to face him twice a year any more. That is the silver and black (ha ha get it, a raiders joke) lining in all of this. I can't wait for the first Randy yelling at Kerry Collins on the sidelines video. Or Randy leaving the game in the second quarter because Collins did not see him open. I am just very pleased. Commitment to Excrement is the Raiders motto, well, they got a whole pile of it last week.
Just one more pic for you to enjoy...
HAVE A NICE DAY, AND GET BACK TO WORK!!!!
