The TundraTalk Bump...

Okay, I knew it would finally turn out. You all know about the phenomenon where when we move to a city their teams will win championships. It is a fact, look it up. Now there is a new phenomenon. Howard Stern always talks about the Stern Bump. If Howard talks about, or has a person on his show they will instantly shoot up on google searches or the best seller list. Fact look it up. Well, now we can add TundraTalk to that list. Reg, don't call me Reggie, Rudolph, of the Garrison Rudolph's, was on TT the Podcast last week. He did a great job answering all the questions right or wrong. Now he gets his bump...

I recieved this press release today at TundraTalk world headquarters. Enjoy!!

McLean Electric General Manager leaving for Colorado Cooperative

June 18, 2008

At last night’s McLean Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting, Chairman Don Sorge announced that Reg Rudolph has decided to resign his position. Rudolph was hired July 1, 1997 to replace the retiring Bob Dippold.

Rudolph will be headed to San Isabel Electric Association in Pueblo Colorado to take over the position of CEO for that organization. San Isabel is a 24,000 meter cooperative serving south east Colorado along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Rudolph said, “this is a fantastic professional opportunity and offers many personal opportunities for our family, it was also the most difficult decision we have ever had to make as a family.” Rudolph goes on to say “Garrison has been our home for eleven years and we will miss the area and relationships we have developed.”

During the Annual Meeting, reports were given on the record growth being recognized with new accounts and commercial development. Load growth with the operation of Blue Flint Ethanol, energy sector development, and residential growth; the cooperative is headed in the right direction. Prospective projects that are currently in planning also add to the optimistic outlook. Rudolph said “the future is more optimistic than ever for the cooperative with the load growth, great system reliability, and the best staff I have ever worked with”. “I am honored to have had the opportunity to work for the members of McLean Electric and thankful to the board and employees for all the support provided over the years. In 1997 I remember stating the cooperative was a diamond in the rough. Although my opinion is biased, I feel the cooperative is today a diamond”.

Don Sorge congratulated Rudolph for getting the cooperative where it is today and wished the family well. He went on to say “the board must now begin to evaluate the future options”. Rudolph will start at San Isabel on September 22, 2008.

Reginal Rudolph, General Manager

How about that? Congrats Reg. Now you can move to Colorado and run around the rocky mountains. PLUS you are now near a NFL team that is not as pathetic as the queens. At least the Donks have a couple of Super Bowl Trophies. No more naps on Sunday!!!

Even better than that, the Colorado Avalanche are nearby and you they have two Stanley Cups, not to mention they are the best team in the NHL!!! This is a great move for you Reg. Congrats. Oh and, you are welcome. Who is next to get the bump? Stay tuned to find out.

Do you want to move up in the world? Do you want to get a bump? Just show up on TundraTalk and it is all good.

Good luck and have a great day!!!!

Reg takes a shot at glory, A Channel Sucks, and I hate the Red Wings...

Okay, I know, it has been a while. Just to let you know, I have been working my ass of, and it is summer so here in Canada, since Summer is only around two weeks long, you better enjoy it or your winter will be that much longer.

First off, the Entourage competition is still ongoing, it just has taken a while to get this one done. Reg was okay with the wait, which was nice. What did he have to do anyway? It is not like he has a queens Super Bowl to celebrate. Okay, Reg played along well and did okay. CLICK HERE to listen or just click the link at the top right of the page.

Next up on the docket is Derek Venckus, of the Nashvegas Venckus'. He usually swings for the fence so that one should be good. Good luck Derek, you are gonna need it.

NEXT: The Red Wings won the cup, yeah I got your thirty five texts Preacher. Shut the hell up. I am sorry. I know that Trev usually gets behind the Pack during Football season and I appreciate that, but there is no way in hell I can get behind the Red Wings. I just hate that team. It is a hate that is similar to the hate I have for the queens. They are similar teams, well except that the Wings win and have won many championships and the queens suck and they have NEVER won anything. I guess the only similarity is that I hate them.

Moving on, I hate the Wings because I do and that is all you need to know. I was really hoping to see Ty Conklin's name on that cup, but alas he was foiled for the second time. He will get it, oh yes, he will get it. It is just a matter of time. The Wings uniforms are ugly also. Too much like the Russians. I wouldn't doubt if they are all communists. Really. Hate 'em, hate 'em, hate 'em. Sorry Trev, your team still sucks in my book.

Don't hate them enough to never capitalize their name though. That is reserved only for the queens, right now.

NEXT: Here is a good story. Back when I worked at that shitty station called A-Channel. Some promotions idiot had the brilliant idea to take a picture of all the employees and put it on the billboard. Sweet I thought, me on a billboard. Larger than life. I can't wait to see it. Anyway, the day comes to take the picture and I get in there and put on my best smile. This is gonna be awesome.

Well along the way some jerkoff who I don't know who it was, really liked to screw with photoshop. He or she, decided to monkey around with the image. He or she, took out about half of the employees, including me, and cut and pasted some of the employees in the picture several times. Lauralee Klippenstein, of the Edmonton Klippensteins is in the shot around 6 times. Needless to say I did not make the cut.

Really, who sat back when they saw the proof of the picture and said "Yup, that's a good idea. Lets cut half of our employees out of the ad that shows all of our employees. Great Idea!!!" A grade A A-HOLE, that's who.

Mark Sholtz, who I will give credit for this one thing. AND ONLY THIS ONE THING. On the air pointed out this fact, live on TV, to the 35 viewers that A-Channel had. He made fun saying that Lauralees cousins and twin sisters also worked at the channel. Funny stuff that landed him in the dog house. Needless to say the ad came down soon after that.

Shittiest job I ever had. Hands down. Shitty accross the board. Bad bosses, bad equipment, bad work environ, bad shifts, bad bosses, bad schedule, bad news, bad shooting style, bad promotions dept, bad pay, bad bosses, and bad work. Did I mention bad bosses?

Thanks to Evan Klippenstein for the photo. Look close at it, no me, and 6 Lauralee's. I also like how they just squeezed Stacey Brotzel in between Doug Downs and Maclellen. Bad, bad, decision. Messing with the wrath of Brotzel.

Have a great weekend and GET BACK TO WORK!!!!!

Trev brings the noise...

Okay, the next victim stood up and took his medicine. Trev Doroshenko, of the Regina Doroshenkos, took time to take the quiz on TundraTalk the Podcast. What did Trev talk about? Well he spoke on the worst boss ever, the worst football team ever, and even managed to slip in some beer talk. Nice trev. CLICK HERE to listen to Trev rock the house or just click on the link up on the right.

Next up on the list to end all lists is our first, and I think last, viqueen fan. Reg Rudolph, of the Garrison Rudolphs, will step into the gauntlet. What do you think we will talk about? I can think of one thing.

Robby DuPuis, of the Minneapple DuPuis, took some offence to my soccer rants. Robby is a soccer enthusiast and thought I was a bit harsh...
WOW! Pretty harsh stuff. It's too bad soccer fans aren't classy like a rasslin' crowd.

Robby

Dude, I have never claimed wrasslin' fans to be classy, let alone intelligent. I am just sayin' that my experience this past few weeks has been difficult. I would rather cover city hall. Really. I know you play, and like I said I see how it could be a good workout, but it is far from entertaining to watch. Wrasslin', VERY entertaining. Not real, but very entertaining.

I'll agree that soccer is much more entertaining to play than watch, but I would not call wrasslin' entertaining. Ridiculous yes, entertaining no, and this is spoken from someone who has been to a wrasslin' match. Once was enough.

Robby

That is why it is entertaining. It is ridiculous. If you had gone to said match with me, you would have had a great time. Trust me I know. One of Donna and my first dates was ringside at the Minot Dome for a wrasslin' event. I got to go to wrasslin' AND hang out with a cool chick. Who won on that one? ME, BABY, ME! AND she still married me didn't she? There must be something there.

I will make one more comparison to try to illustrate my point. Remember the movie back in the 80's called 'Just one of the guys' where the chick pretended to be a dude? I did not see it but this movie's box has a picture of this chick in football locker room. There was a movie out recently called 'She's the man' that basically had the same plot, chick pretending to be a dude, except it was based around soccer. I am sure both of these movies sucked the big one, but the one that had football sucked a whole lot less because it did not involve soccer.

Bottom line soccer sucks. End of story. Sorry to offend you Robby.

Robby did send me this link to him prognosticating on the NHL playoffs. Robby is soooooo cool in this clip, his hair is way off the charts. But his prognosticating is dead on. I did remind him that I also had a haircut that was a bit, let's say, off back in the day.

Now, thatsa bad hair cut. Keith Murphy used to refer to this haircut as my "Molly Ringwald period". Yup, bad hair. If I remember correctly Robby was there when I actually had my hair dyed red. Robby went for the old lady grey but ended up with kinda gross white.

We all do stupid things when we are young.

Now Get back to work!!!!!!

Here is the order for the Entourage Podcasts...

Here is what Sonja Heitsusan, of the Dead Moines Heitsusans, said about my truck getting broken into. Welcome to the dialogue Sonja. It is about time....

Chris –

Long time no talk to. I was reading about the truck break-in. At least the A-hole didn’t steal the entire truck. My car got stolen a year ago. The dude slit the rag-top, stole everything inside (I mean everything, shoes, books, gloves, etc) and told police he picked up a prostitute and had SEX in the car!!! Needless to say, I wished he would have totaled the car, but the police caught him going about 100 MPH down I-235.

So, the moral of this story, it can always be worse. At least you don’t have to power wash the INSIDE of your truck J

Hope all is well -

Sonya Heitshusen

Yup Sonja, I am glad he did not steal the truck. That would have sucked to 8 hours away and not have wheels. As for the cops arresting him for going 100 on I 235, I thought that WAS the speed limit.

Reggie chimed in on the Entourage Podcasts...

I didn’t see Tony Mutz on the list. Considering the situation he is in, it is imperative that a fair man like yourself would put in a placeholder for the time being. Don’t be a dick like Tupac, look where that got him. Dead! Yeah that is right, Ray Lewis didn’t shoot him either.

Also, you visit a friend and subsequently get your “truck” (hauling grain now?) broke into. Sounds pretty suspicious to me, how well do you know Mr. Blashill?

Thanks for allowing me to make the short list, but give up on the I hate the Vikings shit. To you it may be a religious experience, but to me it is an opportunity to get a good nap on Sunday’s during the fall. Yes they are overpaid representatives of our loyalty to the team, but I will be able to walk when I am sixty and they will be zealots of our past entertainment.

I look forward to your litany of questions, however I am concerned with the tone of “smack down” references. If you recall, my role is one of practicality. I don’t smack down anyone for sport.

Finally, because you knew me before I was 18 it is permissible to call me Reggie. All others will refer to me as Reg or Mr. Rudolph. Also, your entourage should have cool nicknames. Like Nordic Man-that is a bad ass nick name, just hope he lives up to it.

Reginal Rudolph, General Manager
McLean Electric Cooperative, Inc.

Thanks Reg, errr Reggie, I hope you get yours during the podcast. You might want to start with the smak because it will help. The bit about Cory sounded suspiciously like smak to me. No I do not haul grain, but I do haul ass. Whoooooooo!!!!! As for Tony, like I said, not sure how to get a hold of him in Iraq. I don't even have his email let alone his digits. I am sure he would hold his own if he was able to participate.

So here it is!!! As chosen by my 5 year old out of my Packer hat given to me by Dwayne Mandrusiak, who got it from Red Beatty the Packers equipment guy. McKenna cannot read much, let alone your names so there was no bias involved in the order that she chose.

So start studyin' your Bon Jovi and your man laws because you are gonna need all your wits about you for this one. Oh, and a bit of Jager might help.

Here it goes...

1. Min Dhariwal
2.
Mike Chaussee
3. Nordic Man
4. Trev Doroshenko
5. Reg Rudolph
6. Derek Venckus
7. Cory Blashill
8. Robby DuPuis
9. Mitch Davis
10.
Marty Frey
11. Chad Weiser
12. Shawn Hauser

The Entourage competition is heating up!!!

So the competition is heating up. I decided earlier this week that I would start putting together an entourage. You know, I don't have the money or the fame yet, but I think I need to be prepared when it happens. Oh, and it will happen. I sat down, did some serious thinking, then I put it all on TundraTalk. I made sure that I picked the right guys to hang with. I had charts, graphs, beer, and bratwurst to help me make the right decisions.

After I put it out there I just left it up to you guys to police yourselves. And, guess what. You did. I have had some great feedback from the boys on what needs to be done with this posse. There has been some suggestions that maybe we need to put this out as a reality show with all the music and dramatics. We could have an elimination scene where the obnoxious host gives some stupid catch phrase like, "You have been eliminated from the posse, please turn in your man card and leave the mansion." Nah, reality tv sucks.

So, lets start with an up and comer. Reg Rudolph, of the Garrison Rudolph's, decided to throw his hat in the ring. He makes a strong case for being a member of the crew. Let's let Reg state his case... (sorry about the picture Reg, but that is all I have, circa 1987) Yes that is a marker he is trying to pass of as a microphone...

Mr. Peterson (That is what I would call you if I was in your entourage), I read with great interest the qualifications you felt were important to be in your so called posse. If you want a posse that is just a bunch of money sucking friends living off of your coat tail then count me out. Yes, I am a friend from way back! As a matter of fact just last week I recounted an event that you and I had together; driving home from college freezing our butts off in your Escort because you didn’t have enough anti-freeze. But the rap muzac at least kept you warm.

To recap some of the functional value I could bring to your organization: First and foremost I see you do not mention any person that knows his way around a dollar with the level of expertise as me. As a matter of fact responding to your inquiry for a posse is costing me money right now. However I believe in your potential and ability to convince someone to buy (at an inflated price) your idea eventually.

Let’s get down to it! There is always one or two guys in the posse that make bad things go away and good things develop and the star never knows the difference. I am one of those guys. I run a multi-million dollar company in a fashion that most people perceive that it could run itself. As the CEO I know what it takes to get the skids greased so others can succeed. I will remember your anniversary and send flowers for you, get the birthday gifts for your kids, and still make sure you don’t get screwed when you want to buy a new car. I will also remind you that you haven’t called your mom in five days and as I hand you a ringing phone you will still remain the humble son.

Albeit, Willie Nelson had a bad moneyman , you will not! North Dakotan’s don’t steal their friends money because that is simply wrong and we were taught the Golden Rule in church, the one with God! I will hold your finances inviolate as that is my responsibility, I will also tell you when you are risking it.

As I look back at my request to be in your posse it makes me wonder why you would pick me? But every person has a fun friend and at least one practical friend. I am the practical friend, sad for me to admit but it seems to be working.

Write your masterpiece, strike it rich and when you get scared at what is happening to your life, call your practical friend. I may be available

PS: Tony is a good choice because there may be times when I need to make some bad things go away.

Peace out Bitch! (That is the only thing cool I could think of!)

Reg

Mr. Peterson, attached you will find my picture as you requested. Most of your entourage candidates convey an image of “I like to party” –quote from Talladega Nights. I will be the person in your posse that strikes fear with those that intend to violate your “circle of trust”-quote from Meet the Fockers. But don’t worry as I am the one that knows how to “kick ass and take names”-quote from Reg Rudolph.

Okay Reg, you make a strong case. You are correct that I did not put a guy on the list that can take care of finances. That is very important. I do remember that trip in the Escorche, and yes it was cold. The idea that I would never have to remember an anniversary or birthday again is very appealing. There is one thing that is holding your back a bit, that whole thing with the viqueens. I do recall you in a email this year trying to justify your loyalty to the purple and on the verge of giving them up for dead. I am here to tell you, we as Packer fans are always welcoming converted queen fans. It can change your life for the good. Come on over and I believe that it could be a done deal. Oh and comparing the pictures, in the old one mullet, and the new one, well no mullet. Nice.

Now Venckus chimed in on him being on the list...

Thanks for putting me on the list...it's an honor. Really. Moot point...your screenplay will probably suck. Try writing something about a 16 year old chick that gets pregnant and drinks Sunny D. THAT might make it big.

Idiot.

Peace.

Venckus

Thanks Derek, nice of you to drop the idiot right away. Already keeping me real. Points for you!!!

Hauserinskinov jumps in after he sees all the other resume's. He does well for himself simply by bringing up the legend of Sign Boy, and FUNYUNS. Hauser looks like a lock....

Sooooo, I am sitting here tired as hell and I see everyone else is making a case for themselves, a-holes! First of all....I LIVE IN GREEN BAY AND YOU ALL DO NOT. I could simply end my statement and say nuff said? No, I will roll on. Being a competitive cyclist and a guy who likes to keep the body in decent shape, I feel I play a key role in the entourage, read on!

When the Bossman (that's you Big Man) needs a cold beverage and the closest Shell gas station is really not all that close....I am fit enough to RUN for beer and FUNYUNS...pulled the F word which again is a likely lock. So in review, Green Bay and Funyuns, and then in shape and willing to run like Forest.

I was there when the legend was born, SignBoy, brings a tear to a fellas eye. From small felt tip pens to the big ass oversize Sharpie, notebook paper to huge chunks of solidified pulp...no wonder Kaukauna stinks....all those signs! I have witnessed everything except the forest fires and the whole living in Canada thing, whatever. I was there when the first felt tip made contact with the paper....and the first "YOU SUCK" sign was born!!!!

Again, getting real tired here, which brings me to my last point....my one weakness which just happens to be a demand as well. I need the naps, OK, if Bossman has the entourage on the run all day.....I'm gonna need a nap here and there boys....just the way it is!

That is my little diddy, not P-Diddy, just a little diddy. Take as you want it, bottom line....I love that Dee Snyder.

Hauserinskinov is in the HOUSE

Naps are good with me. Hauser good work.

Next up is my Uncle Ray Harper, of the Boeing Harpers, and he wants in...

Chris,

Every famous person has at least one no talent deadbeat relative hanging on their coattails. Lucky for you I fit the description, besides if you don't let me on I'll tell your mom. Since I cant earn my way in I will have to use extortion like threatening to sell my DNA to the tabloids so they can make a match with yours on those paternity suits.

Uncle rayman

Okay, uh, sure. Call my mom if you need to. She will just tell you to mind your business. Oh and the picture is the picture that Ray will be using to run for office at the Washington state legislature. If you live in Washington, make sure you vote for my Uncle. If you want him in the Entourage vote for him. Not sure how being in my Entourage is gonna help him get elected.

Of course Mary Frey jumped in with his opinion on how the whole crew was shaping up...

I like it - I like it a lot... Now the one thing that I would change on my blurb would be that I was "born" a Packer fan - the son of a man who stayed for all 4 quarters of the Ice Bowl and a charter member of the Bucky Scribner Fan Club - the official fan club of the Packers first left-footed punter.

OK - enough about me...
There are some good choices there - there are some GREAT choices there...

Venckus - IN... one of the smartest, sarcastically funny sports guys that I ever met (I guess that isn't saying a lot - but still) I can hear him saying it in my head right now.. "Peterson - your an idiot"...

Nordic Man - IN.. Big fella, easy to get along with - Fireman, cheese curd and beer lover and a hard working man.

Trevor D - Love the last name, He's chewed some dirt.. good

Hauser - a great athlete (but I am concerned about the pink bike), a seriously funny guy and a great photog that is up for just about anything..

Cory - Hell yes.. every team needs a "scrounger". The Guy who can get what you need, the "fixer", the "go-to guy.. hell yes

Tony Mutzenberger - war hero - great name - probably doesn't want to be any part of this? - he's perfect

Mitch - I could see this.. Say you're about to do something really stupid because of an idea that we came up with when we were drinking and playing poker by the pool. Then Mitch could lean back, take a slug from his beer - scratch his head and say.. "You know Chris - Donna would kick your ass if she ever found out you did that".. And then we could all agree and get on with the game.

but really? A "donkeys fan" - A frickin' Lawyer? - A viqueen fan? What the hell is that? I mean if your goal is to have a couple of guys that every else wants to beat down on a regular basis -then sure... A lawyer I could see, only if he knows that he's scum and feeds off the suffering and pain of others.. But a Viqueens fan? That, my friend is unforgiveable. They are the worst punks imaginable - They play in a Dome - failures to the core, full of whiny complaints about how everything is "bad luck" - THEY PLAY IN A DOME!

I miss the old-style viqueen fan when they played outdoors.. We grew up tailgating at Lambeau and when the queens came to town there was good-natured ribbing - a few bets on the game, we shared our brats and beer with them and gave them directions when they were a little tipsy after the game. But win or lose - they were decent fans, plus we both hated the bears so bad that there was some of that "mutual enemy" camraderie. But in the last 10-15 years, Viqueen fans have become bitter, sad little punks - spitting and swearing in the kids section at Lambeau.. Their perverted players holding sex parties on lake barges and mooning entire stadiums with their disgusting displays. Perhaps it's because their parents gave up on the team in the early 90's and all that is left is the current generation of viqueen fan, brought up on failure and poor sportsmanship - and the only thing they know is fear and heartbreak. I pity them and their useless dome-bound team.

Marty

I know what you are saying about the queen fan thing, and it is a big deal to get past, but he does have connections and I have tipped a few with this dude, and he can be changed, if we wish to take him in as a 'project'.

The lawyer is also a bad mofo. He works for the state department in North Dakota fighting crime. As you know there is not much for crime in ND so he is smart enough to pick a state that is slow. You know a few grow ops, some jaywalking, maybe a noise complaint, stuff like that.

I think we have a good crew here.

OK - You didn't tell me that he was a prosecuting attorney and not the "scum sucking" type of lawyer.. you idiot.. He's OK But I still can't abide by a queen fan being in the posse.. If he's in - I'm out..

Bold statements from Marty. Shane, do you want to state your case? I think you should.

Blashill, of the Edmonton Blashill's, just had one thing to say about his nomination...

Petey,

Feels like you just wrote my obituary.

No, my friend, I think in those words I wrote your destiny. You are getting huge support from the rest of TT and you look as if you could lock this up almost as quick as Marty. Nice work my friend.

Nordic Man made a bold move on the Entourage thing, he sent his wife to respond. Man, that is awesome. Much points for the Nordic One on this one. So what does she have to say?

I of course would have to vote for my Nordic Man, and where else do you get a Vikings fan to make you home made pancakes shaped like a G?
I do hope you know it was painful to use my griddle for that!
Also who would take his girls to the Tilted Kilt, aka strip club, that serves food without a cover charge.

Nordic Woman!

Yes, those pancakes were awesome. The Packer G in the middle of the cakes was just the icing on the cake. Yes the idea of taking your daughters to lunch with the boys at the tilted kilt, yup, manly. He is rising above the rest. Truly an innovator.

Last but not least Mitch adds his opinion...

“Unstable personality - check. Referred to (in the third person) by a nickname (Red Rage) - check. Packers fan - check. I believe I more than qualify. Add in the fact that I am also a fan of the Grey Cup Champion Riders, I also hate the Vikings, and I think this is a no-brainer. Mitch

Preach on brutha, or should I say, brutha in law. You got Marty's vote so you are already a head of the game. Just keep your game up.

So there you have it Nation, the Entourage is shaping out to be a great competition. I welcome any and all suggestions as well as bribes. Feel free to let me know if there is something wrong also. Oh and if you want to call me an idiot. It is getting to be that way now on my emails. Still waiting to hear from a few of you. Min, Mike, Ivy, Weiser, bring it...

Now, have a nice weekend.

Packers 23 - viqueens 16

How was your weekend? Mine was great. We went to the Rider game on Saturday and that was great. The Riders beat the Als. Great day for football. Nice warm fall day at the park. Wait, what else happened this weekend? Hmmmmmmm, oh yeah. THE PACKERS BEAT THE vIQUEENS. Nice. As you notice, I NEVER capitalize the name of the viqueens. That is not a typo it is intentional. I do not believe that they deserve it. Win a trophy then, maybe. I also noticed that some of the queen fans who wrote me do the same thing. It is catching on. I also noticed that Shane T Keller of the LA Kellers also did not capitalize the Packers a few times. Now that is disrespect and I expect him to apologize.

I don't know if you noticed but I think the queens lost all of their karma and skill the minute they started playing indoors. Play outside like men. I mean really, what is better in December a southernteam coming in to your park to play outside or play in the baggie dome? Home field advantage. Oh, but then if they played outside they would not be able to pump all that extra noise onto the bench. One good thing if they played outside would be that big ugly, and I am sure he smells, viking guy would have to put on a jacket. Man that guy is pasty.

Sorry I got off on a rant. The game was awesome. Two more angels got their wings because Favre threw for two more TD's. Broke the record so we have that out of the way and we don't have to have that distraction. We are now 4-0 going into the game next Sunday night against the Bears. Man is that going to be great. I did get a bit nervous in the fourth when that rookie coughed up the ball giving the men in purple one more shot at the end zone. Carl Bush was making Sidney Rice look like Jerry Rice. That guy needs to get better or he is going to be seeing that all year long. John Ryan, who is from right here in Regina, was awesome at getting that fake punt off the ground. Nice. He juked half the defense out of the baggie dome. It was nice to get the win and I am happy that Number 4 got his record. One more thing, it was cool to hear as I watched the game the crowd start chanting "Go Pack Go" througout the game. That was sweet. More Packers fans than queenfans in the house. Gotta love that. Maybe all the queen fans were out duck hunting, like Scott Dahl was.

We will get to Scott and Gene later but right now I would like to share a email from Marty Frey, of the Hollyweird Fry's. He sent an article from the Minneapple fish wrap. Marty of course is a die hard, born and raised, Packer fan. I believe he will be in PHX this year with me and whoever else comes with me.

This article from the Minneapolis Star-Tribune about what a bunch of whiny losers the Viqueens and they faux fans are..

WISHFUL THINKING CAN'T REVERSE THE VIKING MISFORTUNE

An antagonistic crowd chanted GO PACK GO late Sunday afternoon, jeering the Vikings off their home field. Coach Brad Childress was attempting to regain his composure, having hurled his headset and spiked a water cup during a sideline tantrum. Dozens of photographers surrounded the star of the game, who most certainly was not wearing a Vikings uniform.

By the time their 23-16 loss to Green Bay was official, the Vikings had endured historic embarrassment, exploded in multiple tirades -- one of which spilled into the locker room -- and listened as a pro-Packers crowd celebrated it all. Now 1-3 following the easiest part of their schedule, the Vikings can only hope their coming bye week will produce a new direction after an otherwise deflating Sunday.

"We've been having bad luck," running back Chester Taylor said. "All we can do is just come out and keep grinding and keep fighting to the end. We have to stay together as a family."

The Vikings' three losses have come by a total of 13 points, and Sunday they again missed a chance to tie on their final possession. Packers cornerback Atari Bigby ended the threat with 1 minute, 11 seconds remaining by intercepting a Kelly Holcomb pass at Green Bay's 24.

The play incensed Vikings players and coaches, who said the Packers' other cornerback -- Charles Woodson -- committed a penalty that should have nullified the play.

The sequence sent Childress into an uncharacteristic tizzy. "Clearly interference," he said afterward, but it did nothing to soften his reality: With one-fourth of the season complete, the Vikings have displayed no quantifiable improvement from their 2006 performance.

Worse, many of their problems from a year ago have continued.

Their offense still has trouble scoring touchdowns, and passes into the end zone remain scarce. Despite 382 offensive yards Sunday, their highest total since Childress arrived, the Vikings were limited to field goal attempts until Holcomb's 15-yard pass to rookie receiver Sidney Rice with 1:55 remaining. It was the Vikings' only shot into the end zone for the game.

Ryan Longwell accounted for the remainder of the scoring with field goals of 44, 35 and 48 yards. Overall this season, Longwell has six field goals; the Vikings have scored four offensive touchdowns.

They committed seven penalties Sunday -- including five for either false starts, encroachment or delay of game -- and their defense gave up at least 300 passing yards for the sixth time in its past 20 games. Packers quarterback Brett Favre threw for 344 yards and broke Dan Marino's all-time record for touchdown passes with a 16-yard pass to Greg Jennings in the first quarter.

Favre's 33-yard scoring pass to James Jones gave the Packers a 23-9 lead with 5:46 left, setting off a loud celebration from a Green Bay ticket-holding contingent that turned the Metrodome into West Lambeau Field.

"The best thing that we did is we didn't quit," said Holcomb, sounding the refrain most often heard this season. Indeed, the Vikings have had a chance to win or tie on their last drive in all three of their losses. But at what point does bad luck -- Longwell's 52-yard field goal at Detroit hit an upright, for example -- devolve into simple underperformance?

"You hope things will change," running back Chester Taylor said. "You hope that you can make some plays on offense. You hope the defense keeps playing great. You hope you can stay together."

Yes, keeping the team together appeared to be a legitimate task Sunday. The locker room was mostly silent when reporters began interviews, save for a chippy exchange between Holcomb and tight end Visanthe Shiancoe, and most players exited quickly.

The bye week arrived at the right time in at least one respect. Childress will give players most of this week off, giving everyone a cool-down period before returning next week.

It's not enough time to start over. But maybe, linebacker Chad Greenway said, it can generate some hope.

"Football is a funny game. Maybe you can go through the first four games and struggle, and then the last 12 might be all right."

Okay, there were some interference calls in this game. Most were very ticky tack calls. The one on Al Harris at the end was terrible. The one that Mr. Holcomb and Mr. Noodles is complaining about is stupid. You lost, deal with it. You had a guy wide open in the first and your boy could not hit him. Too bad, so sad, quit whining, there is always next year.

As for Mr. Dahl. He now owes me some fine beer. A 24 I might add. Thank you Scott. Here is what he had to say today...

i'm willing to go double or nothing at lambeau. because for that game i'm predicting favre gets sacked 8 times. including a pat williams-induced concussion that would send favre to a late-early retirement. or would that be an early-late retirement? any-hoo, the hits will leave brett brainless which will explain the autobiography he'll write years later titled: "big squeegee love purple vicodin squirt." i'm not making this stuff up.

You are on my friend, you are on. As for your prediction of Favre getting hurt. That is just wrong. Plus you did not capitalize his name properly. Please show some respect to the greatest QB of all times.

Gene Principe also took time out of his incredibly Italian and busy day to try to run smak....

The Packers still suck but for one week the Vikings suck more..but if they had a QB you'd be buying me lunch..and to Brett Favre I'm Italian so in my mind Dan Marino is still the NFL's all time TD passing leader...

How does McDonald's sound?

McDonalds sounds crappy. I was thinking along the lines of Lux or the Keg. MMMMMMMM I can taste it already. Nothing tastes better than a lunch paid for by Gene. Word up.

So for the next time the queens play the Pack, I am taking all bets right now. Lets' get this thing started now. Or are you just fairweather fans. Randy Moss is gone, wait, you still sucked when he was there anyway. Remember wide right? I do.

Oh, and here comes Reg giving us his three cents....

I have to be the only Viking fan laughing my ass off right now. I knew they would lose that is why I was asking for 21 points. If I would have taken your 10 I would have been victorious in my gambling endeavor. You can talk smack all you want but when the cash comes out reality must set in. As far as the Packers monopolizing the audience that is a stretch. My imaginary friend in the front office of the Vikings states that 84.5% of all tickets are owned by season ticket holders. When Vicodin Boy from Hurricane Mississippi broke the record the Viking fans cheered his accomplishments, recognizing a quality player.

Back in the 70’s when Fran held the record, the Pack threw beer bottles at the bus and mooned the players when they left Lambeau. My concern is whether Childress will be better or worse than Les Steckel in Viking history. Right now he is looking like the winner.

Why is it you queen fans are holding on to that vicodin thing, but Randy Moss, the upstanding citizen that he is, drives down the street with a cop on his hood and he is such a nice guy? Just wondering.

So I got some responses, but not to many challenges...

SIGN ON THE vIQUEENS LOCKER ROOM DOOR

So I have had a few responses to my challenge, but no real challenges. Principe and I have a longstanding bet on this game so that is a done deal. Here is what he had to say...

You are just one big mean spirited cheese head..Vike-queens. You are on buddy..What's the spread because I know your football team full of boyfriends will be favored?. Give me the points and we are good to go. What's the bet?

Gene

I already told you about the bet Dahl and I have. Pilsner for Leinies. I can't wait. Nobody else really accepted the challenge. Nordic Woman, of the Gillet Nordic Clan, just sent me an email saying that she does not even read my emails any more during the NFL season. Well, she must read some of them because she read that one. That hurts Lisa, I thought we had a mutual respect for our hatred of each others teams. Can you believe that the Nordic Man and Woman live in the same house but love different teams? Crazy. Here is what she said....

Come football season I just delete the e-mails from you. It doesn't matter whether the vikes are good that year or not. I try hard to not dish it out to anyone cause I don't want to hear it from others either. Sorry! Will tune in Feb.

Lifelong Vikings fan!

I guess that you queens fans are not really confident in your team this year.

Reg Rudolph, of the Garrison Rudolphs, wants three touchdowns. What do I look stupid? Wait, don't answer that. Sorry Reg, the most I can give you is 10 points. The line on the freaking game is only 2 points. I believe that we agreed on Funyuns for Caffiene free Mountain Dew but cannont agree on terms. Here is what Reg had to say....

OK Smarty Pants Canadian, If your Packers are so damn good, you should be
more than happy to cover the three touchdowns. Come on be a loyal
supporter, you are talking so loudly about your cheeseheads I can barely
remember last years Packer record.

Cover the three TD's and if you win you can rub my face in it the rest of
the year. I think you are afraid you may not even win, typical Packer fan!
All flash and no substance.

It isn't good to start hedging so early in the betting negotiations, it
shows fear and weakness. Three touchdowns Pete or no deal.

PS: I will throw in some free hostfest tickets for any performance too!

Hostfest, been there done that, got the t-shirt. No thanks. Lutefisk and Lefse? Lefse yes, Lutefisk, NO! If the Pack win you better believe that I will rub it in your face. That is why we are here.

Now Shane Keller, of the Los Angeles Kellers, called me out but did not make a bet. Shane, always had a way with words, said this...

I'm glad to hear Shannon has found a lady who has
better taste in Men than Football Teams. It's always a woman trying to come between a man and greatness. My wife (Yvonne) and I were having lunch last Wednesday and were talking about football and the Vikings genius plan to lose a couple games before the Packer match in a divine effort to fool the Packers and the entire NFL into drastically underestimating their ability. During the conversation Yvonne said, "I'm tired of losing! Why don't we just start watching the Packers?" The poor woman knows nothing about blind faith and the fact that conspiracy theories CAN COME TRUE! Now Yvonne is very lucky we live in America and not Nazi Germany, because I would have promptly called the Gestapo and reported her. But instead I politely excused myself from the table under the guise of having to use the restroom. I then walked to the front door of the restaurant, turned around and screamed, "Vikings rule, packers suck! I hope you brought your purse because the meal money is leaving with me!" Oh Etu Bruta, Etu.

Now a note for Shannon: Packer fans live in the
past, riding the tailcoat of days gone by. Where as Viking fans still have the opportunity to look towards the future. To dream that Little dream and to experience the joy, nay, the euphoria when that little dream becomes reality . Packer fans are thinking dinosaurs while we Viking fans are thinking space travel baby!!!

Don't forget, your playing in the Dome bitch!
Shane

Shane

P.S Favre rules! No one on the face of the planet can

deny that.

Okay, Shane, good story. Sell out your wife for the queens? I could maybe see someone do that for the Pack or even the Bears, but NEVER the queens. Hmmmmmmm, let me think, THREE SUPER BOWLS AND 12 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS against the hope or faith that you might win one in the future. Uhhhhhh, I think I will take the three trophies and the 12 world championships. You can have your 'little dream'. Just remember queenfan, there is always NEXT YEAR.

He did take the time to send me a joke also. Thanks Shane, and just to be fair and to show that I am an equal opportunity insulter, here is his joke...

Three football fans were on their way to a game when
one noticed a foot sticking out of the bushes by the
side of the road. They stopped and discovered a nude
female-dead. Out of respect and propriety, the Vikings
fan took off his cap and placed it over her right
breast. The Bears fan took off his cap and placed it
over her left breast. Following their lead, the
Packers fan took off his cap and placed it over her
crotch.

The police were called and when the officer arrived,
he conducted his inspection. First, he lifted up the
Vikings cap, replaced it and wrote down some notes.
Next, he lifted the Bears cap, replaced it and wrote
down some more notes.

The officer then lifted the Pakcers cap, replaced it,
then lifted it again, replaced it, lifted it a third
time, and replaced it one last time.

The Packer fan was getting upset and finally asked,
"What are you, a pervert or something? Why do you keep
lifting and looking, lifting and looking?

"Well," said the officer. "I am simply surprised;

normally when I look under a Packer hat, I find an
asshole."

Nick Chase also took time out of running down criminals for 'W' to ridicule me. Not sure what the hell he is talking about, but I, again in the spirit of equal time put his note here...

What’s this packer talk? You were always a Redskins fan. Remember, Mr. Bandwagon??? At least you jumped to a less racist bandwagon. The Packers won the Superbowl and you moved there for about 15 minutes and now you’re Vince Lombardi. What? Because you eat cheese and drink beer? Yeah, they don’t have that anywhere else. And if you ever move to New England, you’ll have Tom Brady’s baby.

What team are you going to follow in REGINA, Sask? You better get GPS for your car, because if memory serves from high school, you never could find your way around a Regina.

Keeping it real and keeping it street,

NC Justice

Nick is way too funny, if I could understand him.

Chad Weiser, of the Microsoft Weisers, also sent me a joke. No bet, but a joke. A joke does not provide me with any Funyuns....

Here ya go Chris Peterdaughter!

Q:Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, a dumb Packer fan, and a smart Packer fan are walking down the street when they spot a $10 bill. Who picks it up?

A:None of them. There is no such thing as Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy or a smart Packer fan and the dumb Packer fan thought it was a gum wrapper.

Now it is less than 24 hours til game time so I guess no one else will take the bait. Oh well, remember, no gloating if you did not call your shot. Whoooooooo!! Time to take the queens to school.

Packers vs DomeQueens...Who wants some?

Okay, just wanted to drop you all a note. Especially those who claim to be loyal to Barney's team. Grown men wearing purple and stupid braids. At least cheese has a function. Braids, the only function in that is to prove that you are very effeminate.

As Hamish, I believe it was, in Braveheart said to William "Where ya goin'" and Wallace said back "Ahm goin ta pick ah fight". Well that is what I am doing today. Pick a fight. As you all know, the Packers are 3-0 and on their way to glory. They are of course led by the greatest QB of all time, Number 4, Brett Favre. He is on a mission this year to win at all costs. Name a record and he owns it. Even most interceptions. They of course are headed to the baggie dome this weekend to teach the DomeQueens a lesson or two. For instance what a real QB looks like, what a winning organization looks like, and for most of the queens what a Super Bowl ring looks like.

I was at Costco last night and some idiot in a pickup truck drove by and yelled "Go Vikings". Well we all know he is an idiot because of what he said. I was flying the colors, as I do everyday, and he just felt so compelled to come up to me and run his mouth. That is just like a queen fan. A Packer fan will not run his mouth unless he is provoked. We know we are great, we do not have to tell everyone about it, it just shows. So I was forced to tell him good luck, because he really is going to need it this weekend. Number 4 is going to destroy the ChokeKings D. You know what it is queen fan? To quote a great man, Sean Elliot of the Madison Elliots, "You just hate us, because you ain't us." Word up.

Okay here comes the fight. Scott Dahl, of the Minneapple Dahls, sent me a note last night. Not your normal note that says "Hey how ya doin'? How's the kids?" Nah, he had his back up and was a bit defensive. He wanted to bet me on the game this weekend. Now, I do not need to bet to show my loyalty to my team. I bleed Green And Gold. I know Mike Chaussee, of the Bismark Chaussee's, and Mitch Davis, of the Regina Davis', feels the same way. But, if you are going to come at me, and if you want some come and get some.

I do not know what my problem is, but I know way to many people who like the purple stupid team. Dahl, Rudolph, Keller, Ivy, Principe, Ellingson, Nordic Man's lovely wife (this must be her only fault, well, unless you count her taste in men), Weiser, Toby Peterson (ex Oiler FW)... The list goes on and on. At least you can respect a fan of, say, the Cowboys because they have a trophy or two, or maybe a Steeler fan. Maybe. But never a Queen fan. They got nothing except a few boat trips and an ugly stadium that their owner can't seem to bribe their way out of. Reg Rudolph, of the Garrison Rudolph's, even took the time to call me out the other day.

On the NFL front I believe you are taking some serious latitude with the Packers. I am willing to put a wager on your Packer prediction, albeit as a life long Viking fan I think Brand Childress is a moron and Tavaris Jackson is a lessor quality Duante Culpepper without a Randy Moss to bomb it to. Just imagine my opinion if I wasn't a Vikings fan.

He then took the time to insult my wife, my taste in music, and even said he would kick my dog if he were near it. Well Mr. Rudolph it is, as they say, ON.

So here is the deal, if you are a Queen fan and you want some, send me an email, let me know what you think (I know that thinking let alone typing, is tough for you purple fans), and make your wager. As I told the Dahl kid, lets not get crazy, just make the wager. I told Dahl I would wager some fine pilsner. WHEN I win, I get some Leinie's and if he wins (never happen) I get him some fine Molson Canadian or Sask's own Pilsner. We of course will not see each other for a while, but when we do, I have that card I can play. Or I can play it anytime I want here on TundraTalk. Dahl is always talking about a skate someday. Well Mr. Dahl, you better keep your head up coming accross the middle.

I will be willing to wager for bags of Funyuns, Dakota Kid Seeds, or boxes of Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch. I am already counting on a 24 of Leinies from Scott. Principe usually wagers a meal of some sort, so I am sure the next time I am in E-Town I will have lunch on Gene. I once bet Gene on the game and he lost. His punishment, he had to wear a cheeshead on the air while he did his sports. That was some of his finest broadcasting. I know that without the cheesehead you can't really trust what he was saying, but with it, instant credibility.

Don't sing it, Bring it. come on queen fan, lets hear ya. Oh and if you want to wager with Chaussee or Davis, let them know and I am sure they will be happy to take your stuff.

Yeah that's what I thought.

Many thanks to Packer Palace dot Com for the great logos for the queens.
