Favre round two...

All right, it has been a month. I have had plenty of time to digest the loss that was. I really just did not need that. In fact the week after it became a ZERO TOLERANCE week. If anyone brought up the game or the queens to me I just explained that I did not want to discuss it at all and walked away.

This really pisses me off because I have other things to talk about here on TundraTalk and I am getting sidetracked by the Douchebag of the year and the dick who kicked him out of Lambeau. Important things like this texting shit and the language that has sprung up from it. DRIVES ME CRAZY. Oh and I did an psychological experiment on myself. Yup, you read it right, I experimented with my psyche and lived to talk about it. More on that if I can ever get this stupid queens thing out of my foremind. Is that even a word? Screw it. It is now. Of course I have the Entourage to think about also. How dare Brent Favre do this to my big announcements. Dick.

To make matters worse on the Wednesday after the Monday night game, I was not working. So about 2pm in the afternoon, the doorbell rings. I am literally sitting on my throne. That upsets me just to start it off. So I quickly 'finsish what I am doing' and run upstairs. I open the door and it is some religious door to door folks. They explain to me that they had dropped off some stuff a while back and wondered if I had read it. I said no, and the dude said, and I quote, "I see you are a big Packer fan by your truck and flag." I say 'yeah' wondering what is coming next.

This jerk off says to me..again, I quote..."Well, I am a big vikings fan and...." ARE YOU F'N KIDDING ME? At that point I said "And this is where I close the door." And I closed the door. ZERO TOLERANCE.

I just ain't gonna sit and listen to this bozo run his mouth about Brent Favre and the godless queens. I am always very considerate of door to door people. They have a tough job dealing with all that rejection. I will at least listen to their speil and then say no. THIS GUY, has the balls to drop "I am a viking fan." on me and expects me to invite him in? Screw that.

So there was that along with everyone I know wanting to hear my opinion. I am glad that so many people want to hear what I have to say, but I am sooooo tired of talking about this a-hole that it is starting to make me a bit sick.

So here I am again talking about the jerk off. Today, in honor of Brent Favre returning to Lambeau to get his ass handed to him I have the top 4 ways to welcome him back to Green Bay Wisconsin. Keith Murphy, of the Dead Moines Murphy's, called me and wanted me to be on his radio show to talk about this topic. So I came up with this list, along with some visual aids.

#1. First thing we need to do is let him know that we have decided that his number will be retired when HE retires, not anytime sooner. So we give the number to the punter to let him know that we are serious about it. No more ignoring the number when it comes time to hand out numbers to rookies and such. Hell we could even give it to the water boy.

#2. On every wash room in Lambeau field put a picture of Aaron Rodgers on the Mens room door and on the Womens room door put a picture of Brent in the ugly purple dress. This would also send a message to the man. Plus it just makes me laugh thinking about it. Really that shit is funny. Just look at it. I think I will send this off to Lambeau and see if they get it done.

#3. Just to take the last one a few steps forward, lets put Brent's picture crying at his presser when he retired the first time on all the toilet paper in the joint. Sell it at the Pro Shop. Since 90 percent of all the toilet paper in America is made in the Green Bay area this one should not be that hard. We could also put the number 4 on all the toilet seats so when you sit you are sitting on his number. Good idea Chris.

#4. Okay this one is the best one I had. FIRE TED THOMPSON. Fire him today, tomorrow, or hell fire him yesterday. He has got to go. I am so sick and tired of his management. We have no o line to protect A Rod. He spends most of the game on his ass. He will not sign free agents, wait, I take that one back. He signed Ahman Green. AHMAN GREEN? Wasn't he the one that sent him packing saying he could not play anymore? I love Green. I am forever grateful for his years with the Pack but man, shake your head Ted. YOU SUCK. The minute you are gone is the minute this glorious franchise gets back on the right track. I hate Ted Thompson. I do.

I have a few bets on this game, as I always do. I am down one game to all these queen fan losers, but I will get back even on this game. As of right now I owe Dahler, of the minneapple Dalher's, a 12'r of Leinies Amber. I was up one dinner with Gene Principe, of the Sportsnet Principe's, so now we are even, but I will get that dinner back. Oh, and this kid Jodie M, of the who knows where he lives now, I owe a toonie.

James Grandy, of the Minot Grandy's, thinks he is being smart by betting that if the Pack looses I need to put a queen logo on my FB profile for the rest of the season. I cannot take that bet because that would be treason. Treason. I shall not associate myself with the color purple EVER. I know the Pack will win, I just ain't gonna risk that kind of girlish behavior. I would not ask him to do that if the Pack win. Too much humiliation, for him of course. Oh and isn't it funny how these people who never wanted to bet in the past all of a sudden are all over me? Yup, bandwagon must be getting full. Don't worry, it will empty off here in a few more games.

So here is my prediction. Now that the queens have lost a game...oh by the way. They finally play a team that had a winning record last year and the LOSE. The queens are not a great team, they have been playing crappy teams padding their record. So, the Pack will win at Lambeau 31 to 21. Brent will be sacked 3 times and will throw one pick. Read it and week queen fan. queen fan!!! Start your excuses!!!!

Favre and the queens suck...

The big match up on Monday against the queens has elicited some good comments. I want you first to read this article in the Milwaukee JS. Kinda sums it up, Packers want to kick Favre's ass, and Favre is a big fat liar.

Marty Frey pipes in on the whole mess that this game has become...

So many emotions... I said the first day that Ted Thompson took over that there was something wrong with him.. Plain old just didn't like him and what he stood for. And time has bore that out. But Brett should never have gone to play for the viqueens - that is unforgiveable.

The Pack isn't ready for this game - The viqueens only have to hand it
off to Peterson enough times and then throw a couple passes and game over. I'm just sick about this and how those godless queen fans will claim that they are unstoppable. The only good that can come of this is for Ted Thompson to be fired as GM.

Marty

Marty, my man, I know this is a tough time. I am right there with you. It seems that everyone I know wants to talk to me about the whole Favre thing. Even the freaking Premier of this province wants to rub it in a bit. Yeah, how do you tell the Premier to "F-off. I don't want to talk about it."? You don't you just smile and say that the queens are still the same queens and will NEVER win the super bowl. NEVER. By the way, that is usually what I say when I see the evil grin in someone's eye in the news room. I don't want to talk about it. I will get over it on MUST WIN MONDAY NIGHT. That is what it is called now. MUST WIN.

Jay Carton, of the Billsfan Edmonton Carton's, drops me a line and calls me out a bit. Read it first then I will explain...

Hey Chris,

As always, TT is just plain good reading. I've been waiting all week for a Pack/Vikings rant. Got to say, I was a bit perplexed. The letter to Ted Thompson (wouldn't it be awesome if his middle name was Ian? He seems like a giant mammary) seemed like you were hedging your bets.

You make a decisive prediction, complete with an injury with massive consequences, yet you wrote the letter just in case. Huh?

On a separate note, we're going to be in the big R this weekend, but I'm not sure how much free time we'll have. Be great if we could meet up for a bit (and beer).

Jay

You know what Jay, I am big enough to admit it. I was wrong in my intent of that letter. You were right. Ted, that letter was for you no matter what happens this weekend. You are a jackass wether the Pack win or lose. You suck. I have an idea for you though Ted. Maybe you could put Harrell in as an offensive lineman, he sure as hell can't play defense. Give it a go, it can't any stupider of a move than picking him in the first round. Oh, and Jay, you are always welcome in my house and are welcome to drink my beer.

Next, Gene Principe, of the Sportsnet pain in Cory Blashill's ass, Principe's, accepts the bet on the game for monday. On a related note, the bet on the game with Scott Dahl, of the Minneapple Dahl's, is for a 12'r of beer AND he will stop deleting my comments on FaceBook about the queens. I will not lose, but, if they do, but they won't, I will owe him a 12' of beer and I will not post any more smart ass remarks on his comments about the queens. Gene, what dumb ass thing do you have to say?

I actually like Favre now..after his last second TD toss....you're on big boy

Gene

Yup, dumb ass.

The Nordic Man makes the cut and shows up big...

I got to get better at doing the TundraTalk a bit more often. A lot has happened since we last spoke. The Packers are 1-1 by beating the snot out of the BearsStillSuck and losing to the BengalsAlwaysSuck. I have a lot to say about this but I have a more important announcement to get to. TundraTalk has spoken. The Nordic Man is in. Most would say that the Nordic One was a lock for this group and I would agree. He would have had to really screw up on his interview to mess this one up. Like tell us he has switched allegiancies to the queens or something drastic like that. He did not, and he got in.

I first met the Nordic one back in 1996 in the Brown County Arena at a Green Bay Gamblers game. I was making a lot of noise telling the other team that they sucked and so was he. I believe that we considered each other bookends in Section A and B. He was B. For the next 3 or 4 seasons we terrorized the USHL with our signature heckling and killer fashion sense. I consider him a brother from another mother and a guy who I would go into battle with any day of the week.

We may not agree on everything, but we do agree on the important things like a good bratwurst, beer, and the Green Bay Packers.

Nordic Man has something he would like to say...

Dear TundraTalk,

I would like to start by saying what an honor it is to be part of your
entourage. I can't wait to see who else will make the cut. As being one that was there for the infamous "Dee Snider" comment, it makes me long for the nights of playing poker and listening to Denis on the box. I need not mention the late night runs across the street for pretzels and other munchies. Oops, I just did. I think that is how we stayed so slim.

It is always fun to sit around and talk about the old times and tip a
few beers, (OK, maybe a lot of beers.) but what is best is being able to look back at the good times and knowing that that is not where it ends. Here is to many more good times to come, all the times I will get to tell you how wrong you are and why, and all the times you get to do the same. (WOW, am I writing for Halmark now?)

The Nordic Man

PS: If the Posse needs any tickets for the Pack or a hook up to go to
any clothing optional resorts, I know just the person. He he Scratch that. I meant really cool, relaxing resort locations in Florida.

Remember, acquaintances will bail you out of jail, but friends can't.
(Because they are already there with you!)

PSS: Get back to work you bum!

Nice work Nordic Man. There was a lot in there. There was some great words of wisdom, some great memories, and clothing optional resorts? I do not think that you and I need to be attending any of those any time too soon. I am not sure if I am ready to move to that level in our relationship.

So there you have it, Entourage member number two. The Nordic Man. So we have Shawn Hauser and the Nordic Man in. Both live in the promised land. Will there be more from there? I guess you will have to wait around and find out.

NEXT: Okay, the Packers have beaten the BearsstillSuck, and the Rams. They had a bad week and lost to the Bengals. Oh and check the dude in the pic to the right lobbing the bird when Ocho Dicko jumped into the stands. Packer fan of the year as far as I am concerned.

On the other end of the NFC North, the viqueens have gone 3-0. Yup the moron queen fans are already engraving the trophy. Don't get ahead of yourself, queen fan. You beat the Browns, Lions, and the 49'rs. They had a combined record of 11-37 last year. Big deal. Beat a team that had a winning record then call me.

As for this weekend, you will face your first real test in the Green Bay Packers. Although here is another team that had a losing record last year. 6-10. Nothing to write home about, but most of the prognosticators on week one were picking the Pack to make the Super Bowl. I have placed my bet with vegas with 20-1 odds. I am already spending that money.

Speaking of bets, I will be making my yearly bets with queen nation. Scotty Dahl for Leinies, Gene Principe for dinner, and Shane T Keller for whatever I can get out of him. Losers everyone of them. Screw the queens and Brett Favre.

Packers 24, queens 7. Favre a broken leg.

Oh and if for some god awful reason the queens do prevail I have a message to Ted Thompson...

Dear Ted,

Hey jerk off. Now you have done it. You just had to be a dick and push number four out. You had to do it 'your way' which means drafting losers like Harrell in the first round. By the way, when will he come off the injured list, next year? You suck. How is that offensive line coming? Yes I agree it is OFFENSIVE. Try to protect your quarterback jackass. Don't even get me started on your bonehead move of releasing Jon Ryan, the best punter in the league. We are still paying for that move.

You just had to do it didn't you? Brett asks you to make a play for Moss. You ignore him. Brett says he wants to compete for the job in Green Bay, you say 'We have moved on." He shows up for camp and you bar him from practice. You trade him to the Jets and he makes you look stupid. He has a better record than your team. Just to make sure that you are king dick you put a clause in there that says he cannot be traded to the viqueens. Well I guess that worked didn't it. Dick.

Just to let you know that if your team loses to Brett's team this week and in November your days are numbered. Dick. If I have to I will drive down there myself and demand your resignation. You are an embarrassment to the Packer Organization. Ron Wolf would have NEVER let this happen on his watch. NEVER.

Ted, you dick, make it right. Make us forget about Number 4. Win these two games against the queens and you may get another year to screw with MY team. Lose these two games and I will be down there to collect on the bets I lost. You will pay, TED, you dick, you will pay.

Chris

We did have a TT nation member at his first preseason game. Shannon Just went and filed this report...

Here Favre is trying to decide if he will join in on a Viking pre-game huddle. I think he thought about going over to the Chiefs huddle for a moment then changed his mind. He's blurry and confused in this photo.

So my brother and I get to the game and these girls ask us to take a photo with them
in a dark corridor.?

Thank you Shannon for that report. Hope you did not have fun. Well I hope it does not take me another month and a half to make the next announcement. So there you have it..now
GET BACK TO WORK!!!

Welcome to Friday, Pack win, and some old video to laugh at...

Allllllllright. The Pack won on Monday night. Sweet game and a sweet result. A Rod looked good. I know I have been critical of the kid in the past but if he plays like he did on Monday night against the queens, we are all good. NOW it was against the queens, the crappyiest team ever, so he should not get a big head. After all a lot of that credit needs to go to me for my goatee shave. That's right, now that I have shaved the 'Rodgers' cut in my goatee, he will continue to win. Not to mention I am starting a huge craze for this style cut all over the nation. I made Packer Palace dot com THE place for all things Packer. Well, besides TundraTalk. Sweet coverage of my goat. Nice. No way I can shave it now. In the infamous words of Crash Davis..."Never Fu#k with a streak".

Another thing that is nice is that Scott Dahl, of the Minneapple Dahls, and Gene Principe, of the Edmonton Sportsnet Principes, both lost bets to me. Suckers. I now am owed 12 Leinies from Dahler and supper from Principe. I love it when a plan comes together.

A few other things to take care of before I get to the classic video to show you. Brett Favre made it to Regina. Thats right, I saw him the other day on Albert Street. I managed to snap a picture of him. Have a look... Nice huh? It is great that he made the trip to Regina to visit. He really is not gone, he is always with me in my travels up and down Albert here in Regina. I guess you could say Number 4 is my co pilot. Speaking of Number 4 Jenna Leith, of the Regina Leiths, is going to see him play this weekend in NY and I have been promised a program from the game. Nice. Mom, of the Phoenix Mom's, sent me this picture she snapped in Wisconsin the other weekend.

NEXT: Speaking of parents. I have the update on the Ahman Green Car raffle. All of my postive thinking and sending out the good vibes did not over ride all the negative thinking of my parents. Every time I spoke with them I told them that it is their car. They WILL win it. Done deal. They would always reply with, and I quote, "Yeah right". You can't go into a situation like this with an attitude that you will not win. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb. Anyway, needless to say they did not win. DAMN. I already had a trip planned in this car. That is a pic of my dad and my aunt standing next to the car. She got a key, they had a party going on so they sat around and waited then Betty got in the car, tried to start it, and.....nothing. Too bad.

So they also did not also win the trip to Texas for the game. Oh well. They got an autographed Ahman Green football. Nice. It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine. That ball will look great next to the Number 4 ball.

NEXT: Robby DuPuis, of the Minneapple DuPuis, spent some time at the RNC in St. Paul last week. Here is his account of all those crazy white people who proclaim to want 'change', but I ain't buying it since they are the reason there are so many problems....

Here's a few photos from my time at the RNC though they're not very exciting. I was only in the building on Tuesday and Wednesday and (thankfully) didn't have to deal with the anarchists.

There's a few photos from our studio suite in the Xcel, a couple outside (security entrance and snipers on the roof) and inside the Fox News Channel tent (which was huge).

The week as a whole was a lot easier (for me) than I expected, but the entire production was MUCH larger that I anticipated. Two police officers on every corner of downtown St. Paul and the security zone was quite large and heavily guarded.

That's it. No exciting stories. Saw a few famous talking heads from cable news channels (which doesn't do much for me since I think their part of the problem and not helping matters) and a couple of polititians (same comment there).

I posted an album on Facebook if you're a facebooker.

Peace, rob

Thanks Robby for the update. Looks like you missed out on most of the crazy rich people speeches. Good Job.

NEXT: Now we get to the goods. I recently was cleaning my shed when I stumbled into the boxes of tapes that I have amassed in my TV career and I found some stuff I wanted to share with you. I am not going to give all of it up today, I am going to spread it out a bit over a few weeks. Just to keep you coming back. That my friends, is what we in the biz call a 'tease'. Nice.

First up is a classic Peterson video from around 1998. Right after There's Something About Mary came out. Of course you know that the greatest QB of all times made his screen debut in that film and took off like rockets. Well, I heard that a local golf tournament in Sheboygan, I love saying that name, Sheboygan, was having as a special celebrity guest Chris Elliot. My favorite comedic actor. Those of you who worked with me back in Bismarck remember the Christmas that I gave everyone in the building, that I wanted to, a copy of his book, Daddy's Boy. I am a huge fan, so of course I insisted that I get to go and cover this.

Of course my angles was that Brett Favre was in the movie with him and I could ask him about it. Bingo I get the green light to go. It was in the evening so I decided to take Donna with me for company. It also just happened to be a week when my parents were visiting. Sooooo they went also. Really kinda unprofessional of me, but that is one thing I have NEVER claimed to be was professional.

I of course was going to conduct the interview. Now that is not a big deal, but I do not beleive that I had ever done it before this. Those of you who take the time to listen to the TT Podcast know that I am not, like Roy Firestone, the best interviewer in the business. I, in fact, really suck. I was really nervous when I sat him down for the interview and did not remember any of the questions I had thought of. I now write them down. As you can see when you watch the interview he is a bit annoyed with my style, or lack there of, and cut me down on several occaisions. Chris is a guy who used to write for Dave Letterman back in the NBC days. He is the king of sarcasm and loves to take shots at people. He took many at me. But by the end of the interview I made him laugh and it was all good.

Chris Elliot Int from hamiltongbp on Vimeo.

After the interview I had him sign my copy of Daddy's Boy, which he could not believe I had, and took a few pics. One of which was our Christmas card in 1998. Oh, I also remember when I introduced myself to him I told him my name was Chris Peterson, and he said "Shut up you are lying" I showed him my DL and he laughed and said "Do you live over your parents garage?" I said no, but these are my parents. He just rolled his eyes, laughed and sat down. Way cool. In case you do not know he had a sit com on FOX called Get a Life that his characters name was Chris Peterson. He was also a paper boy in that show. Great Show.

Anyway this is the first in many videos that I will show you that are very funny in a self depricating way. Enjoy.

Have a great weekend and GET BACK TO WORK!!!!

Welcome to the new Packers season...

Packers video from hamiltongbp on Vimeo.

The Packers season is ready to start again and I thought I would post the video above just to get all of us motivated to cheer on the greatest football team to walk the face of the earth. I am not sure who shot this footage and I am also unsure of who edited it. Maybe I did, maybe James Rafferty, of the Montana Rafferty's. Who knows. All I know is it is awesome.

This is something I think about on occasion. At WGBA we had a great group of shooters. With the exception of Flan from FOX in Green Bay, WGBA had THE BEST football shooters in town. Hands down. NFL films looks at our stuff and drools. Anyway, enjoy this video. I do daily.

So the new season is upon us and I have yet to proclaim to you that the Packers are gonna win the Super Bowl. It is a seasonly occurrence, one that comes in the fall along with the bluster of the cold winds. Well this year I am still stinging a bit from the whole Brett Favre thing. Oh and to just pile on a bit TT decides to release Regina's own, Jon Ryan. You will know that story because TundraTalk broke the story NATIONWIDE. Those Bozo's dump the 9th ranked punter in the league for a guy who has NO ranking in the league. MORONS. Oh and again, all the great pics of Packers and stuff are from PACKER PALACE DOT COM.

Anyway to get back to my proclamation. Like I said it is tough. Had Number 4 still been here I would have been shouting it from the mountain tops, or here in Regina hilltops. Don't get me wrong the Packers are still going to win the SuperBowl. Oh yes they will. I just needed a little more time to get behind it this year. So here we go...

THE GREEN BAY PACKERS WILL WIN THE SUPER BOWL. Believe that.

They of course open the season this Monday night against the queens. Which brings me to my next comment. Like you didnt' see this one coming. The queens suck. What better team to start your season at home with an ass kicking? Maybe the bears. It will be great to see on MNF, for the whole world to see. A Rod better have his head wired on straight or there will be lynch mobs outside Lambeau.

For all you queen fans out there, there is a standing offer to bet on this game. Not for money, you all know the currencey I wager in. Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch, Funyuns, and the best beer in the world Leinie's. Bring it queen fan. I am running low on the Cap'n and Funyuns. Principe, you owe me a dinner, might as well be two. Bring it. Dahl, wanna go 'round again? Those Leinies that you paid up with this summer sure tasted good. Wanna fill my fridge some more? How about you Keller? You want some? I mean really it is like shooting queens in a barrel. How about some of you newbies out there? Want to get in on the action?

Oh and one more thing. I have been critical of A Rod our new QB that he is candy ankles and kind of a pussy but in honor of the team I have decided to throw my support behind this guy. I will be shaving my beard on Sunday to resemble his. He has this crazy goatee thing going on that I am sure will look crazy on me and sure as hell looks crazy on him. I will post it on game day for you all to laugh at.

CWA from hamiltongbp on Vimeo.

To go along with the Packers season opener I also put up the classic CWA interview and video that I shot at Lambeau. This is a band that truly is awesome. I have all their albums and a poster. If anyone is interested in a copy of the CD's let me know. This is great music to listen to on game day, at a tailgate, or any other day of the year. VERY Inspirational. Ask Trevor Doroshenko of the Regina Doroshenkos. He knows.

In the past few days I found some old school stuff that I put to DVD and then to the computer. So in the next week or so I will be posting some classic WhiteHot productions stuff that will make you laugh, cry, and maybe throw up. Stay tuned and
GO PACK GO!!!!

Shane T Keller, of the Hollywood Kellers, sent Tony some love for being in Speilberg's video...

That is so cool! The coolest thing is not that he is in this video, but the reason that he is in this picture. I am very proud of Tony and am very proud to say that I know him, his wife and people of their caliber. It really takes a special thing to do what they do and to have that kind of conviction!! Well done.

Shane

Nice Job Shane, could not have said it better.

Oh and GET BACK TO WORK!!!

The Gear Daddies, Minneapple, and the Twins game sucked...

Okay, so this post is a bit late but the whole Favre to NY threw me off and I have been busy as hell lately so just read it and get over yourself.

I was in Minneapolis last weekend. Yup, I was in the states. I know most of you felt a tremor in the force. I went down with Donna to see Robby, Dahl, Nick, Tony, and the Gear Daddies. Not necessarily in that order.

We left Regina on Wednesday night with full intentions of getting to Minot in time to have some ribs and beers with Tony Mutzenberger and Steve Shoenrock, of the Minot Mutzenbergers and Shoenrocks. Work did not get me out early and an unfortunate forgetting of the passports set us back.

Oh well, it is all good. We stopped over halfway and dropped McKenna with my parents in Hazen to stay for a visit and we were back on the road the next day. We stopped for Lunch in Fargo and were able to hook up with Nick Chase of the Fargo Chases. It was a nice visit with him and his wife and baby. I have not seen Nick for a while and it was like we just saw each other yesterday the way we just rapped like old times. Nick of course is stamping out Terrorism and anyone else who dares to flout the rules of law in North Dakota. Much ass is kicked by this man everyday. Don't F with Nick Chase.

After lunch we finished our trip by arriving at Robby DuPuis of the Minneapolis Dupuis. He has a very nice house just at the end of the Minneapolis Saint Paul Airport. It is amazing how low those planes fly above his house.

On the agenda for the weekend was a trip to see the Gear Daddies at the Zoo Amphitheatre, a trip to see the Twins at the Metrodome, some artsy stuff at the Art Fair, and some serious shopping at the Mall of America.

Friday morning took us to the Mall. Donna did some power shopping and I purchased a replica of the new Lambeau to go with my old one. Good morning at the mall. Robby worked that day. It was the first anniversary of the bridge falling into the river so he had some big shoots that day. If you remember correctly he was the first TV news camera on the scene that day. He has even was interviewed for a special that aired that evening. I saw Robby's footage from that day and he did a great job. Proud of him, I taught him everything he shouldn't do so he did great.

Anyway, Friday night brought the reason why we travelled all this way. Well that and the beer that Scott Dahl owed me. The concert was at the Minneapolis Zoo Amphitheatre. Nice little venue to see a show at. Around 1000 people crowded in to listen to a band that has been around for a long time. The Gear Daddies are a band from Minnesota that play a brand of alt rock/country that I am a huge fan of.

Dahl got the tickets for us, which I still owe him for, and the night was on. I managed to record most of it on my iPod. I know it is not exactly kosher to do that, but hell, I did. If you would like a copy just drop me a line and we will get it done. Oh and just so you know, there is a lot of us singing on this copy. Well here have a listen...

Gear Daddies live... from hamiltongbp on Vimeo.

Yup, that is me singing. The drunk guy. That was an awesome concert. A band that I have wanted to see for a long time.

The next day we, as my suggestion, decided to go to a Twins game. I take full responsibility for this trip. I know, the Twins suck, the Metrodome sucks, it all sucks. I have never been in the Metrodome so I wanted to experience the suck in person. Plus, I was hoping to do Robby DuPuis Entourage Podcast at the game. You know, that would be cool right. Podcast live from a major league baseball game. Well, kinda major league since it is the twins.

I figured that it would be me, Donna, Robby, Dakota, and about 10 other people. That is usually what I see on the highlights. Well, unbeknownst to me it was Twins DQ hat night. It is amazing how midwesterners will go out of their way to get something free. If I was a Twins fan and a resident of Minnesota, thank god I am not, I would soooo be there. We could not get a seat on the lower level, from scalpers. I hate those guys. That is a whole nother story. Anyway, we sat way up in the top of the Metrodome. If this were a queens game, which again thank god it was not, it would suck to watch a game there. Way to sterile and air conditioned. Especially for baseball, a person must be outside for a ball game not in this baggie dome.

So we are watching the game and this dude about 10 rows up starts yelling at the team. My first thought is dude, we are three miles from the game, they cannot hear you. But he paid for his seat he has a right to yell. Then this broad, and I use this term in a completely non flattering way, starts yelling back at him. I immediately think we are going to have a fight. I of course, encouraged the fight. Nothing happened. So I decide to find more tasty beverages so I go out and search for a tasty one. While I was gone the broad decided to have this guy kicked out. He wasn't swearing, he wasn't too abusive he just was an Indian fan. So this chick took it upon herself to have him ejected.

Robby decided to give her a piece of his mind on the way out. I told him I had his back and he proceeded to tell her that if she did not like heckling that she should stay at home and watch the game. Well this trailer trash did not like this and promptly told Robby that he should go back to New York. Dumb ass, which is what I called her a few times. Then, get this, just as we get to the concourse she grabs my arm, pulls me toward her, says "have a nice night", AND HER DAUGHTER KICKED ME IN THE SHINS. Then they ran to the womans bathroom. AMAZING.

I just got kicked in ths shin by a 13 year old trailer park trash kid, who is a Twins fan, at a MLB game. Wow. I hate to generalize, but I think I will. Twins fans are just as dumb as queen fans. Sorry. Here is another thing about Twinsfan that drove us crazy. NO ONE SITS AND WATCHES THE DAMN GAME. We sat on the aisle so all we saw the whole game was jerkoffs going up and down buying sammiches, dogs, popcorn, pop, and anything else they think they need RIGHT NOW. We only saw a few innings of baseball, and a ton of a-holes walking up and down. Sucked, sucked, sucked, sucked.

So that was the basic gist of our weekend in Minneapple. I did not get to do my podcast from the Twins game, but we did it from Robby's man cave in his basement. CLICK HERE to listen to the magic, or just click the link above. I have had it up for a week or so and some of you have already hit it so thank you for listening to TundraTalk the Podast. Robby did a great job and we added a new game to the show. It is called Brush with Greatness to the Death. Basically the host starts with a Brush With Greatness story and then the guest has to counter. It goes back and forth until one of us give up. I will tell you that I do not give up. Deal with that.

Now Tony Mutzenberger of the Minot Mutzenbergers was supposed to go before Robby but he has been busy being an army guy so I will get to him soon. Up after that will be Mitch Davis of the Regina Davis'. Good luck Mitch. Start studying your man laws.

Okay that is all. Now GET BACK TO WORK!!!!!

Adrian Peterson who?

Hell ya!! Thanks to the Packers 34-0 win on Sunday, Mr. Dahl, of the Minneapple Dahls, now owes me two 24's of Leinies. NICE!!! That game was totally sweet. Even better I was in Bismarck on Sunday and it sure was nice to be shopping around in the city and listen to all those queen fans whine and complain about how crappy their team is. Whilst I was at Target I heard at least twenty of them crying and whining.

Even better, whilst I was at Grizzly's eating a fine lunch and watching said game, this couple came into the place and asked the bartender to change the channel from the game and the dude told the woman that he couldn't because there was some of us watching it. She gave me a dirty look and said, "Oh, I bet it was HIM!" and pointed at me (because I was flying the colors, as I always do on game day). I just smiled and tipped my glass at her. Her husband mumbled something under his breath about the Packers and buried his face in the menu. Just like a queen fan to turn off the game. If the Pack were down like that, there is no way in hell I would turn the game off. Stupid queen fan. I just cheered louder from then on every time Favre threw a TD.

I was so proud of McKenna when she pointed to the kid with the randy moss jersey and said very loud "Daddy, we don't like the purple team. They are bad." I almost shed a man tear on the spot. When ever we went into a store selling queen jersey's she was under orders to take the Packer gear and put it in front of it. She is a good kid. So good I rewarded her with a gold Favre jersey.

Shane Keller, of the LA Kellers, sent me this note...

Hi Chris,

I am the ultimate glutton for punishment. I am watching the Viking-packer game and simo perusing Tundra Talk. The mental anguish is near unbearable.

Anyhow, I was reading Martys' fire report. I didn't know he lives in Canyon Country. I'm willing to bet I could throw a rock and hit his house on my commute to work (14 to the 5 to the 405). I'm not exactly sure where he shot the video from, is he somewhere off of Via Princessa (spelling??). My brother-in-law lives in Canyon Country right below the water tower where the fire quickly spread to the day it started (my brother in law is on Shan-gri-la up the hill off of Soledad Canyon Road).

We were at his house that Sunday when the fires started and no, I was not the kid playing with matches that started the fire. We left his house at 5:00 P.M and by 9:00 he and his family were evacuated. Thankfully they did not lose their house, but it came right down to their neighbors back yard. Small world.......

I read an article in the Hazen Star (yes, I still get it and love it, a great taste of home). Their was a nice article on Nick Chase and his bust of a nation wide illeagal imigrent ring..OH GOD THE PACK JUST GOT ANOTHER TOUCHDOWN...F#%K now fieldgoal...27-0 I'm 2 minutes from shutting off the game and starting my yardwork chores of the day :-( Oh my God Fox just left the Viking-Pack game and went to the Eagles-Skins ha ha.

At any rate, back to Nick, that is so awesome. Perhaps he might arrange to have the Feds meet and arrest you at the Canada/North dakota border for being the ringleader of an elaborate International Dakota Kid Sunflower Seeds smuggling ring? Be very careful my friend, very careful.

Take care,
Shane

P.S. The fart story was awesome LOL

Yup, Marty lives right off of Via Princessa. No the street name does not relate to his orientation. He is a Packerfan so no princess there. Here Marty's reply...

Shane is right.. his brother's house is in the video that I shot.. The development is in the right hand corner of the video that I shot.. The group of houses that is just about straight back over my back wall - up on the opposing ridge.

Nick Chase, of the "Plenty Bushie Enough" Fargo Federal prosecutors office, has quite the rep for kicking criminal ass. He is a member of the TT Nation from day one. We are all proud of his accomplishments. CLICK HERE to read about his accomplishments.

Oh, and yes I am very careful when I cross the border with all my contraband. No problems this weekend crossing with my four 24's of Leinies, 8 boxes of PB Cap'n Crunch, and 4 bags of Funyuns. We did have to wait almost two hours to cross though. Lots of Canadians coming down to take advantage of the US money being of the Monopoly value. As did I.

Steve Iverson, of the Moorehead Ivy's, sent me this joke...

Little David was in his 5th grade class when the teacher asked the
children what their fathers did for a living.

All the typical answers came up -- fireman, policeman, salesman, etc.
David was being uncharacteristically quiet and so the teacher asked him
about his father. "My father's an exotic dancer in a gay cabaret and takes off all
his clothes in front of other men. Sometimes, if the offer's really good, he'll go out to the alley with some guy and make love with him for mone
Linky."

The teacher, obviously shaken by this statement, hurriedly set the other children to work on some coloring, and took Little David aside to ask
him, "Is that really true about your father?"

"No," said David, "He plays for the Minnesota Vikings, but I was too
embarrassed to say that in front of the other kids."

That is a classic. Love that joke. Speaking of a joke, the queens lost Adrian Peterson after he scorched the Pack for what 70 yards. He sucks.

CLICK HERE to read how the queens fans are off the bandwagon. Nice. CLICK HERE to read about how the Packers are now Americas Team. The writer who wrote it I believe covered the Oilers on the Stanley Cup run. I spoke to her on occasion during that time. She was pretty cool, obviously because she knows the Packers rule.

Of course thank you again to PackerPalace Dot Com for the pics and the logos.

Packers 23 - viqueens 16

How was your weekend? Mine was great. We went to the Rider game on Saturday and that was great. The Riders beat the Als. Great day for football. Nice warm fall day at the park. Wait, what else happened this weekend? Hmmmmmmm, oh yeah. THE PACKERS BEAT THE vIQUEENS. Nice. As you notice, I NEVER capitalize the name of the viqueens. That is not a typo it is intentional. I do not believe that they deserve it. Win a trophy then, maybe. I also noticed that some of the queen fans who wrote me do the same thing. It is catching on. I also noticed that Shane T Keller of the LA Kellers also did not capitalize the Packers a few times. Now that is disrespect and I expect him to apologize.

I don't know if you noticed but I think the queens lost all of their karma and skill the minute they started playing indoors. Play outside like men. I mean really, what is better in December a southernteam coming in to your park to play outside or play in the baggie dome? Home field advantage. Oh, but then if they played outside they would not be able to pump all that extra noise onto the bench. One good thing if they played outside would be that big ugly, and I am sure he smells, viking guy would have to put on a jacket. Man that guy is pasty.

Sorry I got off on a rant. The game was awesome. Two more angels got their wings because Favre threw for two more TD's. Broke the record so we have that out of the way and we don't have to have that distraction. We are now 4-0 going into the game next Sunday night against the Bears. Man is that going to be great. I did get a bit nervous in the fourth when that rookie coughed up the ball giving the men in purple one more shot at the end zone. Carl Bush was making Sidney Rice look like Jerry Rice. That guy needs to get better or he is going to be seeing that all year long. John Ryan, who is from right here in Regina, was awesome at getting that fake punt off the ground. Nice. He juked half the defense out of the baggie dome. It was nice to get the win and I am happy that Number 4 got his record. One more thing, it was cool to hear as I watched the game the crowd start chanting "Go Pack Go" througout the game. That was sweet. More Packers fans than queenfans in the house. Gotta love that. Maybe all the queen fans were out duck hunting, like Scott Dahl was.

We will get to Scott and Gene later but right now I would like to share a email from Marty Frey, of the Hollyweird Fry's. He sent an article from the Minneapple fish wrap. Marty of course is a die hard, born and raised, Packer fan. I believe he will be in PHX this year with me and whoever else comes with me.

This article from the Minneapolis Star-Tribune about what a bunch of whiny losers the Viqueens and they faux fans are..

WISHFUL THINKING CAN'T REVERSE THE VIKING MISFORTUNE

An antagonistic crowd chanted GO PACK GO late Sunday afternoon, jeering the Vikings off their home field. Coach Brad Childress was attempting to regain his composure, having hurled his headset and spiked a water cup during a sideline tantrum. Dozens of photographers surrounded the star of the game, who most certainly was not wearing a Vikings uniform.

By the time their 23-16 loss to Green Bay was official, the Vikings had endured historic embarrassment, exploded in multiple tirades -- one of which spilled into the locker room -- and listened as a pro-Packers crowd celebrated it all. Now 1-3 following the easiest part of their schedule, the Vikings can only hope their coming bye week will produce a new direction after an otherwise deflating Sunday.

"We've been having bad luck," running back Chester Taylor said. "All we can do is just come out and keep grinding and keep fighting to the end. We have to stay together as a family."

The Vikings' three losses have come by a total of 13 points, and Sunday they again missed a chance to tie on their final possession. Packers cornerback Atari Bigby ended the threat with 1 minute, 11 seconds remaining by intercepting a Kelly Holcomb pass at Green Bay's 24.

The play incensed Vikings players and coaches, who said the Packers' other cornerback -- Charles Woodson -- committed a penalty that should have nullified the play.

The sequence sent Childress into an uncharacteristic tizzy. "Clearly interference," he said afterward, but it did nothing to soften his reality: With one-fourth of the season complete, the Vikings have displayed no quantifiable improvement from their 2006 performance.

Worse, many of their problems from a year ago have continued.

Their offense still has trouble scoring touchdowns, and passes into the end zone remain scarce. Despite 382 offensive yards Sunday, their highest total since Childress arrived, the Vikings were limited to field goal attempts until Holcomb's 15-yard pass to rookie receiver Sidney Rice with 1:55 remaining. It was the Vikings' only shot into the end zone for the game.

Ryan Longwell accounted for the remainder of the scoring with field goals of 44, 35 and 48 yards. Overall this season, Longwell has six field goals; the Vikings have scored four offensive touchdowns.

They committed seven penalties Sunday -- including five for either false starts, encroachment or delay of game -- and their defense gave up at least 300 passing yards for the sixth time in its past 20 games. Packers quarterback Brett Favre threw for 344 yards and broke Dan Marino's all-time record for touchdown passes with a 16-yard pass to Greg Jennings in the first quarter.

Favre's 33-yard scoring pass to James Jones gave the Packers a 23-9 lead with 5:46 left, setting off a loud celebration from a Green Bay ticket-holding contingent that turned the Metrodome into West Lambeau Field.

"The best thing that we did is we didn't quit," said Holcomb, sounding the refrain most often heard this season. Indeed, the Vikings have had a chance to win or tie on their last drive in all three of their losses. But at what point does bad luck -- Longwell's 52-yard field goal at Detroit hit an upright, for example -- devolve into simple underperformance?

"You hope things will change," running back Chester Taylor said. "You hope that you can make some plays on offense. You hope the defense keeps playing great. You hope you can stay together."

Yes, keeping the team together appeared to be a legitimate task Sunday. The locker room was mostly silent when reporters began interviews, save for a chippy exchange between Holcomb and tight end Visanthe Shiancoe, and most players exited quickly.

The bye week arrived at the right time in at least one respect. Childress will give players most of this week off, giving everyone a cool-down period before returning next week.

It's not enough time to start over. But maybe, linebacker Chad Greenway said, it can generate some hope.

"Football is a funny game. Maybe you can go through the first four games and struggle, and then the last 12 might be all right."

Okay, there were some interference calls in this game. Most were very ticky tack calls. The one on Al Harris at the end was terrible. The one that Mr. Holcomb and Mr. Noodles is complaining about is stupid. You lost, deal with it. You had a guy wide open in the first and your boy could not hit him. Too bad, so sad, quit whining, there is always next year.

As for Mr. Dahl. He now owes me some fine beer. A 24 I might add. Thank you Scott. Here is what he had to say today...

i'm willing to go double or nothing at lambeau. because for that game i'm predicting favre gets sacked 8 times. including a pat williams-induced concussion that would send favre to a late-early retirement. or would that be an early-late retirement? any-hoo, the hits will leave brett brainless which will explain the autobiography he'll write years later titled: "big squeegee love purple vicodin squirt." i'm not making this stuff up.

You are on my friend, you are on. As for your prediction of Favre getting hurt. That is just wrong. Plus you did not capitalize his name properly. Please show some respect to the greatest QB of all times.

Gene Principe also took time out of his incredibly Italian and busy day to try to run smak....

The Packers still suck but for one week the Vikings suck more..but if they had a QB you'd be buying me lunch..and to Brett Favre I'm Italian so in my mind Dan Marino is still the NFL's all time TD passing leader...

How does McDonald's sound?

McDonalds sounds crappy. I was thinking along the lines of Lux or the Keg. MMMMMMMM I can taste it already. Nothing tastes better than a lunch paid for by Gene. Word up.

So for the next time the queens play the Pack, I am taking all bets right now. Lets' get this thing started now. Or are you just fairweather fans. Randy Moss is gone, wait, you still sucked when he was there anyway. Remember wide right? I do.

Oh, and here comes Reg giving us his three cents....

I have to be the only Viking fan laughing my ass off right now. I knew they would lose that is why I was asking for 21 points. If I would have taken your 10 I would have been victorious in my gambling endeavor. You can talk smack all you want but when the cash comes out reality must set in. As far as the Packers monopolizing the audience that is a stretch. My imaginary friend in the front office of the Vikings states that 84.5% of all tickets are owned by season ticket holders. When Vicodin Boy from Hurricane Mississippi broke the record the Viking fans cheered his accomplishments, recognizing a quality player.

Back in the 70’s when Fran held the record, the Pack threw beer bottles at the bus and mooned the players when they left Lambeau. My concern is whether Childress will be better or worse than Les Steckel in Viking history. Right now he is looking like the winner.

Why is it you queen fans are holding on to that vicodin thing, but Randy Moss, the upstanding citizen that he is, drives down the street with a cop on his hood and he is such a nice guy? Just wondering.
