Attention TundraTalk Nation...Due to the recent controversy caused by the Ryan Smyth Jacket picture, TundraTalk will now be an invitation only blog. If you wish to continue reading and hearing the best blog and podcast in the world you must answer your email invite. In the next few days I will be sending you an email asking you to sign up.
Now, you will be asked to create a Google account. I know, that is crappy, but I need to make this blog to keep my sanity, and I also need to avoid any and all controversy with my work. If you do not wish to sign up for Google, just list yourself as a guest. However this will only allow you to view it for two weeks. If you wish to view it after that, I need to send you a new invite. Also, I have tried to send the invite to your home addresses, if you prefer another address, just send it to me and I will comply.
I have signed up for the google and I have not been spammed any more than I already am so I do not forsee too much garbage email. If you do not want to use your home email for this, create a google, hotmail, yahoo, whatever, account just for TundraTalk. When you come to read TundraTalk you will have to log in. An extra step.
I apologize for having to do this to you but when I have 600 hits pushed to this site IN THREE HOURS from the TSN website TundraTalk becomes more than just an inside joke for my peeps. That is all I ever intended this to be. You, my friends, to have a laugh or two at work. Nothing more, nothing less.
Thank you, and I hope to see you on the other side.
Chris

wha? i missed the contraversy. what happened?
Mmmmmm.....Google, Good!
The Oilers need to get over themselves... ...it's not the end of the world an ugly jacket gets revealed to a larger audience.
Let's put this into perspective Kevin Lowe, Pat LaForge et al... Before you lose any more of your rapidly thinning hair over this 'issue'...let's all just realize it was a picture of a friggin' jacket. We've all figured out it's probably something the team gives out as some kind of 'secret' award to whoever has an exceptional game.
What happened is not exactly along the lines of leaking military maneuvers to Al Quaeda.
(You're not exactly reinventing the wheel with this 'award' either. For the last few years, haven't your arch-enemies down QE II given out a hard hat as an in-house prize..?)
I didn't think anything of it the first time I saw the picture, because frankly I don't believe Ryan Smyth has that much taste.
So, upper management...what was initally a fun picture that made the Oilers look like everyday guys....you go and turn into some kind of attempt at high treason...
Pathetic..
You no longer need the password to view this site. It is again public.
thank you and GET BACK TO WORK!!!
